    Waco police warned drivers to stay off roads because of icy conditions Friday night, especially Interstate 35 and Highway 84 from Waco through Hewitt and Woodway.Police scanners were a constant stream of officers calling in accidents with cars that had rolled over or slid into ditches or guardrails.     A Mart family was left without a home after a blaze Friday afternoon.Volunteer firefighters from Mart responded to the house just after 3 p.m. this afternoon.Firefighters said no one was home at the time, but firefighters were able to save a dog that was trapped inside the burning building.Firefighters said it was a heater that sparked the fire. The flames were put out in 30 minutes.The home is a total loss.It was not immediately clear how many people lived in the home.More >>
